Hey! Hey-hey-hey! It's you, the person who didn't know anything.
Well I guess you know it's you. I'm Daren. Do you remember me? Did you want to talk some more?
Okay, let's talk. What about though? Oh, you want to talk about where we are.
We are on the planet Goldburg. They named it after the guy who discovered it. I think... It is a terraformed planet, which I think means they made it look like Earth. I don't understand biological stuff real well. Dee says that I could of been an engineer because I understand building stuff and electricity. When I asked her why I couldn't be an engineer she said something about education being a commodity of the rich.
I got distracted though. You want to know about Goldburg. It's either a little bigger or a little smaller than Earth. Whichever means things weigh more. I forget.
It was settled about 200 years ago. That was when the terraforming was close to being finished.
Things got bad then, about fifty years later. All of the attention of the government got put on the Gags.
We're on the wrong side of the territory to be important to that.
We don't have a lot of the right resources either. So that means nobody on Gold was making any money. Things got bad and it was harder to get money around here.
Gold started having crime problems 'cause the police didn't have any money. Then loads of people who were in trouble other places came here.
Dee says that the government doesn't do anything because it would take a lot of money (I didn't understand the number, so she wrote it out and there were a lot of zeros) to fix Goldburg. A lot of the money that the government because they're fighting the Gags.
I hope the war's over soon, so they can fix Gold. I like it here, but it's really hard because people can't keep their kids...and stuff. Sometimes it's hard to find food.
